ART AUCTION FOR MACMILLAN NURSES (Cheviot Artists) :  details

Posted by Pat Edwards.

(To be held in the Kirknewton Village Hall)

The Cheviot Artists are organising an Art Auction at Kirknewton Village Hall to raise funds for the great work of Macmillan Nurses who touch so many lives. Any funds raised will contribute to the financial support such as grants and advice, helping answer calls on the Macmillan Support Line and helping Nurses to be there when people need them most.

For this reason, we are asking professional and amateur artists to donatepieces of work to raise funds. These wil be auctioned through the voluntary help of local Auctioneer JIM RAILTON.

The auction will be part od a social evening on SATURDAY 30th SEPTEMBER 2017. There will be no admission fee and we hope that the event will be well attended. It will start from 7.00pm, and there will be a bar, nibbles, raffle and various aspectsto make the evening enjoyable. The auction will start at 8.00pm.

There will also be a "Pre-View" on the same dayin the formof an afternoon coffee and cake shop also at Kirknewton Village Hall. Refreshmentscan be enjoyedwith a raffle and a look at the work to beauctioned. Those who cannot attend the event can submit pre-bids during the afternoon.

Can you contribute? If so, we need your offers by TUESDAY 29th AUGUST at the latest so that they can be incorporated into the sales catalogue, which will be available from MONDAY 11th SEPTEMBER 2017.

We will be happy to accept work in any medium, and framed and unframed pictures will be great. we will let you knowhow much your contribution raised for Macmillan Nurses and any work not sold will be returned to you.

As is customary in exhibitions, it would be helpful if pictures could be framed with hooks and hanging wire, or mounted with backing card and cellophane wrap. We needto have all your items before WEDNESDAY 28th SEPTEMBER 2017, and we have the following "Collection Points" for you to get them to us.
